So I am looking for a Ranger build which is going to be about 80% for PvE Not to hard right? Here's the catch, I really really don't want to beat all 4 games with my 1 ranger just to get a decent build for PvE out of it...What would be the point if im done with the PvE by the time The build is complete?

So I want a build for PvE that I can use....Before finishing at least Eye of the north and Nightfall with this ranger character. In other words, Using skills you can get in Factions and prophecies. I am willing to use some old school builds that old guild wars players from 2005-2006 used on Prophecies before. I just don't want to have to beat all 4 games or most of 4 games to get a decent PvE build...If i did that there would be no point in making the build once i was done with PvE lol. The process I am getting my skills by is Going to new towns. And talking to trainers to see which have which skills, also using signet of capture to get skills off bosses. A build I can get about 1/2 way into Prophecies and 1/2 way into factions would make more sense as well. Here is my current build. It is all prophecies skills I believe. And I'm currently at Lions Arch part of the story.

There's no need to finish most of any game to make a build. Unlock skills using Balthazar faction. Then you can buy them from most skill trainers.

So here's what you've got for the sake of everybody else:

First off: [Distracting Shot]. If there was ever a skill that has to be stapled to a bar of a specific profession, it is Dshot on a ranger.

Second: More Expertise, less Wilderness Survival. I would place Expertise on at least even ground with Marksmanship as a requirement for a ranger.

Now, if I had to suggest something using Proph/Factions it would be along the lines of this:

[Broad Head Arrow][Distracting Shot][Savage Shot][Penetrating Attack][Hunter's Shot][Apply Poison][Lightning Reflexes][Resurrection Signet]

But I'm also sure there's something far better.

I'd put in Favorable Winds or Epidemic on the optional slot, but it's your choice.

Also, you can run a splinter barrage ranger:

res: resurrection signet, death pact signet or flesh of my flesh
3optional skills, maybe get a pet :/
